CND Shellac Manicure at The Angelo David Salon

I've never had the pleasure of trying CND's Shellac Manicure, the latest 14-Day, No-Chip Manicure, but the opportunity came up at the Angelo David Salon. Shellac® nail color goes on like a polish, wears like a gel that gives you two full weeks of nick-free, chip-free, smudge-free manicures.

Heralded by Angelo David Pisacreta who grew up in salons where he learned how to create hand-crafted, perfectly fitted hairpieces from his father, an award-winning competition hairdresser, the Angelo David Salon is known for developing a hair addition system, Angelo David Couture Hair Extensions and Additions, that reflect the uniqueness of the individual.

The ambiance of the salon emphasizes full focus on the client. The clean, stylish salon features key pieces, such as plush leather seating, a full amenities bar with cappuccino, rich wood accents and subtly placed photography - a perfect balance between distinguished, elegant design and a relaxed, comforting atmosphere. I sat down to Mariana who told me the Shellac will stay wonderfully on my nails because they are strong nails (kudos to me). Mariana buffed, filed and prepared my nails for the Shellac UV base Coat cured under a UV light in just mere minutes, so there was zero drying time. I was told the whole manicure process would take about an hour but Mariana must be a speed demon because I'm sure the entire process took less than half an hour (pre-preparation included)

I decided to go with the vivacious color of Shellac Decadence, a blood red with a hint of burgundy. Free of formaldehyde, toluene and DBP, Shellac protects the natural nail and provides a resilient, high-gloss finish that resists dullness and chipping, even during the most rigorous activities.

and the final result was gorgeous, shiny nails; I couldn't help but notice my nails looked like rubies (this is in between taking photos with one hand, while the other was either being filed and buffed, painted or drying).

I received gorgeous nails in no time flat by comforting, knowledgeable manicurist at an amazing chic salon. Not a bad way to start the weekend.
